Using my focus group - mock ups

I questioned my focus group on what they liked, didn’t like and just their general opinions on my mock ups of the front cover, contents page and double page spread I have designed so far.

90% liked the look of the front page, but one person said that more features could be added. 70% said that they liked the layout and the way the contents page was presented and that it was clear and easy to follow which made it more appealing to them. 90% said how they liked the double page spread, but a concern was that it resembles that of a fashion magazine more than a music style of magazine, but the majority agreed that it resembles a music magazine with a hint of a fashion element. They all agreed that the style and colour schemes of the front cover, contents page and double spread appealed to my target audience.
Based on what my focus group have said I will experiment with different contents pages, altering the arrangement and changing the amount of fashion elements included in this design and incorporate more of a music style.

The majority seemed to agree that they liked the way the title was presented on the front cover, and the colour scheme chosen.
